Recovery: Added support for WinRE for restoring with reboot
Linux-based pre-boot environments do not recognize certain types of modern hardware, such as proprietary NVMe RAID configurations, wireless or Ethernet adapters, which prevents bare-metal recovery for such systems.
Now, Administrators can edit a configuration file to choose which reboot environment to use during recovery (Linux or Windows-based). The default value is Windows now. This WinRE-based pre-boot environment enables remote recovery with reboot and supports modern hardware that is not recognized by the traditional Linux-based pre-boot environments.

Security: Direct Microsoft 365 integration with Advanced XDR
This XDR integration provides capabilities to integrate with Microsoft 365 applications and services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online. The integration allows analysts to quickly identify an infection point or determine the full extent of an incident. The integration is available for any partner with a Microsoft 365 license. Partners who have previously enabled the Microsoft Entra ID integration will be prompted to grant additional permissions to the Microsoft 365 app to extend support to other Microsoft apps.
The Microsoft 365 XDR integration include:
- Automated file enrichment: All files detected in an XDR incident are cross-checked across Microsoft 365 apps, allowing analysts to respond swiftly if malicious files are found in shared directories or the affected user's inbox.
- Enhanced user insights: Provides more accurate details on the user responsible for triggering detections, improving investigation efficiency

Platform: Enforced automatic updates for unsupported agent versions
This new option ensures the highest level of protection, the availability of latest features, and the technical supportability of your environment. Moreover, it helps partners and customers avoid having significantly outdated agents on the protected workloads, thus minimizing the risk of failure when upgrading from older agent versions.
The Enforce automatic update for unsupported versions option is present in the Agent Update settings dialog on all levels, including partner, customer, and individual agents. If the option is enabled, the selected agents will be automatically updated to the second-to-last stable version. Using this option is highly recommended and will be enabled by default for those who choose to update their protection agents manually.

Platform: Support of the Agents list on a partner level
Previously, Partner tenants were not able to view the list of Cyber Protection agents for all their customers in the Cyber Protection console, and had to switch to a customer in order to access the Agents list. Moreover, partners had to switch to the management portal to configure a default agent update policy for their child tenants.
Starting from this release, partners can manage customer agents without having to switch to each customer, and can configure a default agent update schedule at the partner level in the Cyber Protect console, without having to switch to the management portal. Operations with customer agents like updates, changing update schedules, viewing activities, and others are now possible in one location - the Cyber Protect console.

Changes in Acronis Cyber Cloud API
Upcoming end of support for /api/ams REST API
The /api/ams/ REST API, which is used for backup and resource management, will be deprecated and replaced by a new API. The new API will accommodate all integrations and automation scenarios that currently use /api/ams/.
The /api/ams/ REST API is not an official and public API. However, some customers are using it for integration and automation tasks. To ensure smooth transition, the deprecation will be done in phases, with one year of notice for each phase.
We officially announced the beginning of the one year notice period for Phase 1 in May, 2024. Documentation on how to migrate to the new public REST API will be provided.
One year after the official announcement of deprecation, there will be no commitment to support the /api/ams/ endpoints, even though they might still be available.
You can find more information and the history of changes in Acronis Cyber Cloud API in the dedicated API change log document.
