Advanced Security + EDRs
Merge of the Advanced Security and the Advanced Security + EDR packs
As the Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) functionality has become a must-have for ensuring comprehensive security, we are making it available to all current and future customers by merging it with the Advanced Security pack. Starting with this release, the EDR functionality is merged into the Advanced Security pack and the Advanced Security pack is renamed to Advanced Security + EDR.
No upgrade or license changes are required for customers who already have the Advanced Security pack and the Advanced Security + EDR pack.
As a service provider, with Advanced Security + EDR you can:
- Easily launch and implement a complete security solution, including rapid recovery in the event of a successful attack.
- Protect against modern threats, and readily comply with cyber insurance requirements.
- Maximize efficiency by minimizing administrative overheads through a single security platform.
- Get EDR for the price of a traditional antimalware solution.
Installation notes
- For new customers of Advanced Security + EDR, EDR is disabled by default, so it has to be enabled manually.
- For partners using RMM, PSA, and other integrations, the required changes after the merge are described in this KB article.

Incident type categorization and updates for EDR alerts
The categorization by incident types improves the understanding of EDR incidents by adding information about the reason for the incident.
Partners and customers can see information about the incident type in the following locations:
- EDR alerts
- The EDR investigation graph
- The Incident list, which now supports filtering by incident type

Advanced Automation
Support for four digits after the decimal separator in product prices and costs
The support of four digits after the decimal separator means that Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can configure the costs of Acronis products with the same precision as in the Acronis Cyber Cloud price list. Thus, MSPs can track more precisely the costs of products being sold to their customers.
As a Managed Service Provider, you can now configure costs and prices for products in contracts, quotes and sales items with four digits precision after the decimal separator.
Configuration dialog for costs and selling prices for Acronis products
As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), you can configure the cost of Acronis products according to the current Acronis Cyber Cloud price list, currency, and commitment level, and easily set the % margin when defining the selling price of those products. This new functionality reduces the manual effort for MSPs when configuring and maintaining the costs of Acronis products which are based on the Acronis Cyber Cloud price list.

Fixed issues
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
Backup
- [ABR-330402] The message about incompatible Acronis Cyber Infrastructure storage version is not shown in the protection console as it should be when enabling immutable storage from Settings > System settings > Immutable storage. The message is shown only in the Management portal.
- [ABR-354085] Executing a protection plan via the Run now button may produce incremental backups instead of full ones. The issue is observed if the plan was created with Always full scheduling schema, while the simple UI mode was enabled for the Cyber Protection console interface.
Common
- [PLTFRM-60971] Performance degradation on some of the datacenters.
Cyber Protection agent
- [ABR-377788] "The Cyber Protection Monitor remains stuck in ""Retrieving information"" status."
- [ABR-379003] Unable to install the Cyber Protection Agent for Mac by using the web-based installer.
- [ABR-321212] Backups of entire machine fail with error "ASYNC: Full barrier action job." if some of the protected disks always returns zero NTSignature.
- [ABR-378555] New users cannot be onboarded in the Files Cloud service and cannot use it.
- [ABR-373704] Pre-update backups are full but should be incremental.
- [ABR-377546] The Cyber Protection agent fails when you try to configure a backup plan.
- [ABR-378022] Replications might fail if the replication location contains an empty backup archive.
- [ADP-33016] System sleep is causing timeout errors.
Known issues and limitations
Backup
- [ABR-361097] It is possible to create backups with special characters in their names, but such backups are not accessible when saved on a network storage.
Solution: Do not use special characters in backup names, even though the application allows you to. - [ABR-365442] The backup validation completes successfully, but the validation status is incorrect or missing in backup sets with a large number of backups.
- [ABR-375627] Cloud-to-cloud backups of mailboxes and OneDrive instances fail with the backup agent error "Could not save BackupStatus: [Archive Server]: "
- [ARC-525] Cloud-to-Cloud backups of Microsoft 365 objects may fail with "[Archive Server]: net/http: request canceled (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)" or "Failed to read data from the backup. "msg": "failed to unmarshal collection data: invalid json: '': unexpected end of JSON input"" errors in rare cases.
Recovery
- [ABR-367677] Recovery tasks of OneDrive are processing very slowly.
Solution: See https://kb.acronis.com/content/72506. - [ABR-370018] Recovery tasks of OneDrive remain stuck at a certain percentage progress for a very long time.
