Previously, customers would have to dig through Settings, then find the Integrations menu option every time they needed to make a change in integrations settings​.
Now, the Integrations page is just one click away.

Two-way quota sync in ConnectWise Manage​​

Before, when using the pre-paid billing mode, quotas could only be set from the ConnectWise Manage interface. This meant that field engineers would have to wait for administration to update Agreements before they could, for example, deploy protection of a new workload.​
Now, they can update quotas on the Acronis Cyber Cloud side and have that reflected in the Agreement​.
This is also the recommended method for partners who use ConnectWise Manage to move from Legacy editions to the new billing modes.

Auto-create names for services in services mapping ​in Autotask

Before, in product mapping in the Autotask integration, new services had to first be created in Autotask before they could be mapped in Acronis Cyber Cloud​. Now, MSP technicians can create new services from the mapping UI, with names for new services automatically pre-filled.
The new services are automatically created in Autotask when the mapping is saved​.
This works essentially the same as in ConnectWise Manage integration.​

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud

Common

  • [ABR-330118] Device status retrieved via API v4 is "idle" instead of expected "error" status in case of backup failure.
  • [ABR-329689] It's not possible to create a dynamic group with 'OU' criteria when using an 'IN' operator. Error: "1:1 Invalid operation 'in' for 'ou' field"
  • [ABR-328847] Protection policy cannot be applied when using API v4 (/api/policy_management/v4/).
  • [ABR-328233] Protection plans either do not run on schedule or fail to be applied after the device is re-registered under different user or tenant.
  • [ABR-327822] "The enabled pre-update backup option requires the "Entire machine"..." warning appears after when "Patch management" option is enabled even if "Pre-update" backup option is disabled.
  • [ABR-323631] Duplicate "Cloud Applications backups" backup location entries are created if both Acronis Disaster Recovery and Cloud-to-Cloud are enabled for the same tenant.

  • [DF-2926] C2C: Indexing of Microsoft 365 items fails in some cases.
  • [PLTFRM-33994] The agent cannot be re-registered when using a user with "company_admin" privileges, if the same user was used during initial first registration.
  • [PLTFRM-33655] Acronis Managed Machine service fails to start due to corruption of "\ProgramData\Acronis\Agent\var\aakore\host-alias.yaml" file.
  • [PLTFRM-33601] "Automatic update has failed" alert is triggered for failed manual update attempts, while it should be triggered for auto-update attempts only.

Cyber Protection Agent

  • [ABR-327836] "Cannot calculate the file system limits" error appears when configuring Recovery of disks/volumes and trying to map a volume from the backup to a dynamic volume on the target system if these volumes sizes mismatch.
  • [ABR-326646] The XML log from "--log" parameter used with "acrocmd" command does not contain an error message even if "acrocmd" command fails.
  • [ABR-325015] Protection plans applied to multiple machines may be not start simultaneously by schedule in certain upgrade scenarios.
  • [ABR-330337] Recovery cancellation activity takes too long to complete
  • [ADP-12102] Incorrect warning message when trying to update Google Chrome: "Update Google Chrome 87.0.4280.88 en x32 is inapplicable" while the OS is 64-bit.
  • [PLTFRM-31929] Incorrect mapping of Agent core messages.

Dashboards and reports

  • [ADP-17532] 7-day history bar in the Management Portal displays grayed out gaps even though the customer tenants have constant backup executions during the period. Affects tenants with large number of daily activities.
  • [ADP-17405] Devices with "Unknown" state are not shown in the Dashboard/Reports widgets even if all filters by state are enabled.
  • [ADP-16725] Custom reports e-mail notifications may not be sent on schedule in some cases.

Disaster Recovery

  • [DRAAS-24469] Failback operation may fail with "failback.UnknownError" in rare scenarios after retention policy is applied to backups used by Acronis Disaster Recovery service.
  • [DRAAS-24259] Test Failover is not possible for backups created while the tenant was on legacy offering items model, while it should be allowed.

File Sync & Share

  • [ASRV-11472] Partner-hosted storage configured with S3 backend using "Let's Encrypt" certificates does not work.
  • [PLTFRM-32589] "Email Link" in Files Sync & Share is not sending emails to *@gmail.com addresses when the sender username contains Japanese symbols.

Linux protection

  • [ABR-328217] Ext4 partitions with orphaned directory inodes are considered as corrupted which makes it impossible to resize these partitions during recovery.
  • [ABR-327359] LSI MegaSR Raid with PCI ID "8086:a356" is not recognized by Linux-based bootable media
  • [ARC-396] Agent for Linux: backup to a network share returns incorrect "Out of space" error instead of "Network disconnected" when there was a network timeout.

Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other applications protection

  • [ABR-330221] Microsoft Teams site backup fails with "item already exists" error in some cases.
  • [ABR-327460] Google Drive: Backup completes successfully without warnings even if some files backup couldn't be completed due to failure while reading these files via Google API
  • [ABR-322517] Browsing a folder content within archive during item recovery fails with "Folder with id ... not found in backup" error if the folder was added to the root of Google Drive as a shortcut.

Security and management

  • [AMP-7875] The alerts generated by URL filtering are showing incorrect IPv4 address of the blocked website (IPv4 is shown in reverse order).
  • [AMP-7677] The "Cyber Protection (or Active Protection) service is not responding" alert is erroneously generated in some cases due to insufficient amount of re-try attempts to validate the service state.
  • [AMP-7060] The "Cyber Protection (or Active Protection) service is not responding" alert is erroneously generated for agents installed on Linux OS where English (US) locale support is not installed (for example only Japanese locale is available).
  • [ADP-16120] Installation of the agent may stuck in loop on Windows Server 2011 SBS due to attempt to install a component which doesn't support this OS.
  • [CSL-2427] TeamViewer specific version 13.2.36217 is not parsed during vulnerability assessment scanning.
  • [CSL-2345] Cisco WebEx Meetings vulnerability assessment scanning may miss certain CVEs due to improper detection of Cisco WebEx Meeting software version.

Virtualization protection

  • [ABR-301109] Subsequent running a VM from backup operations fails with "Failed to mount datastore" error if the agent (for example appliance) was rebooted in the middle of the previous attempt.
  • [ABR-328810] IDE disk controller is used instead of VirtIO controller when restoring a backup of a machine with SATA controller to Scale Computing HC3.
  • [ABR-309386] Protection plans executed by Agent for VMware: Virtual Appliance may fail to start after virtual appliance update in some cases.

Management Portal and Platform Core

  • [PLTFRM-34016] Switch from Cyber Protection console to management portal may perform logout instead when using Google Chrome (Mozilla Firefox works as expected)
  • [PLTFRM-33906] The "/api/2/infra/uuid/" API fails with 404 error when API request URL is ending with flash ("/api/2/infra/uuid" works correctly).
  • [PLTFRM-33957] "Totals" column values are not shown in "Clients" table in the management portal in some cases.
  • [PLTFRM-33599] VMware Cloud Director Management Agent cannot be registered if the partner tenant has corresponding Offering Item enabled in either Per-GB or Per-Workload models, but not in both of them.
  • [PLTFRM-33580] When branding is enabled for tenant, the agents registration may fail "400 Request Header Or Cookie Too Large" error.
  • [PLTFRM-33555] Integration with external IdP systems may not work if the external IdP provider supports only TLSv1.2 protocol
  • [PLTFRM-33479] Switch from Cyber Protection console to management portal, may stuck on loading or fail with "500 InternalServerError".
  • [PLTFRM-33317] "Authorized user access to "root" tenant is not supported" error may be intermittently displayed when multiple browser tabs with Acronis console are opened due to incorrect usage of session cookies.
  • [PLTFRM-33102] Login into Cyber Protection console or management portal may fail for tenants with enabled branding if there is "IP Limit" function used due to incorrect parsing of the local IP of the client (web browser).
  • [PLTFRM-29632] Incorrect value may be displayed for "Total Protected Workloads" under Overview > Usage in the management portal.
  • [PLTFRM-27037] 'App is being de-provisioned' error is reported when re-enabling the 'Protection' option under Cyber Protect services configuration for tenant.

ConnectWise Command integration

  • [CI-10996] It is not possible to check more than one checkbox when configuring users mapping in some cases, which may lead to "Tenant not found" error.
  • [CI-14208] Devices statuses may not be updated correctly when there is a lot of mapped customers/devices.

Known issues and limitations

This section describes issues that are currently known and provides solutions to avoid the issues where possible.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud

Common

  • [ABR-228827] If some backup is removed via the Data Recovery (Web Restore) console, this change is not reflected in the service console while browsing the backup location, until the service console is refreshed.
  • [ABR-196710] The backup location on the network share usage is duplicated in the case when there is a different network share with the same name registered as a backup location (shares rotation scenario).
  • [ABR-189620] The "Activities summary" widget shows activities out of the defined date "Range" scope (excessive activities may be shown).
  • [ABR-184900] Local backup usage is not reported for backups stored on a network share with enabled deduplication.
  • [ABR-183764] Local backup usage is not updated for all virtual machine backups after deleting and re-adding a network location.
  • [ABR-182313] Local backup usage size is duplicated after reconnecting a locally attached storage (LAS) to a new Agent for VMware (Virtual Appliance).
  • [ABR-178648] The installer does not remove/update old libraries if the previous update was interrupted.
  • [ABR-154655] The protection plan may have the "Backup succeeded" status, even if this plan is completed with warnings. Alerts and activities still show the proper status of the plan.
  • [ABR-113452] If a machine was re-registered under a different account without revoking the existing protection plan from it, this plan may still continue to run unexpectedly.
  • [ABR-190404] It is not possible to recover from the Large Scale Recovery backup produced by the "LSR" tool if the backup is split into multiple separate files (multi-volume).
  • [ABR-158677] "Intel(R) 82574L Gigabit Network Connection" NIC is not properly recognized by Windows 10 after recovery of an image to a VMware Workstation virtual machine by using the bootable media.
  • [ADP-17122] Backups Scanning does not work properly with orphaned archives.

Cyber Protection Agent

  • [ABR-87244] File-level recovery from a disk/volume backup of NTFS volumes with the enabled native deduplication does not work.

macOS protection

  • [ABR-207057] The Bulgarian language is missing in the "Recovery HD" menu (bootable media for Mac), due to a lack of support of the Bulgarian language in macOS.
  • [ABR-141823] There are incorrect backup items in a protection plan after updating Mac OS X to 10.13 High Sierra with conversion from HFS+ to APFS (some backup items are missing).
  • [ABR-137886] Backing up Mac with Apple RAID configured fails with the "No volumes were found when processing the 'Fixed Volumes' template" error. Apple RAIDs are not supported.
  • [ABR-115270] The "[All Profiles Folder]" template in a file level backup does not support a custom profile path.

Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and other applications protection

  • [ABR-74984] The "Next backup" time is not displayed for a machine that has only application-level protection plans applied to it.
  • [PLTFRM-18969] It is not possible to protect Microsoft SQL on a machine with a workstation operating system, in the case Agent for Hyper-V is also installed among local agents.
  • [ABR-255521] The number of total runs and successful runs is zero for the Microsoft Office 365 resources.

Virtualization protection

  • [ABR-327505] Changed Block Tracking is not used properly when performing conversion into VM on Scale Computing HC3, which results in longer conversion process.
  • [ABR-320237] Debian 10 EFI VM with enabled Secure Boot is not bootable after recovery of backup captured from VMware ESXi to VM on Scale Computing HC3
    • Solution: disable Secure Boot in EFI boot manager configuration after recovery
  • [ABR-320149] Recovery of backup for machine which contains a mix of IDE and SCSI drives, to Scale Computing VM, produces a VM which misses 1 disk (non-system SCSI disk is not restored)
  • [ABR-242166] An application-aware backup of a Hyper-V virtual machine may fail when executing the WMI query, with the "WMI 'ExecQuery' failed executing query." or "Failed to create a new process via WMI" errors, when the backup is performed on a host under a high load, due to no response from WMI.
  • [ABR-235983] A protection plan using policy rules such as "/dev/sdaX" or "/sdaX" applied to a VMware or Hyper-V virtual machine fails with the "Nothing to back up. The operation has been terminated." error, when performed by Agent for VMware/Hyper-V.
  • [ABR-234935] There are duplicated activities in the Activities summary, after the backup of a virtual machine running on a Hyper-V cluster.
  • [ABR-234935] An incorrect number of Total runs/Number of successful runs for a Hyper-V cluster is shown on the Operations tab.
  • [ABR-234935] The number of email notifications is equal to the number of Hyper-V cluster nodes for one VM backup activity.
  • [ABR-192213] VMware virtual machines with an empty "vc.uuid" (InstanceUUID) vSphere property are not listed in the service console.
  • [ABR-189882] Backup of a Hyper-V virtual machine fails if it contains an ampersand symbol in the names of its virtual disks.
  • [ABR-173002] Run VM from a backup on a Hyper-V host fails, if the backup is located on the same volume as the path selected for the mounted VM disks.
    • Solution: Select a different volume for the mounted VM disks path. The space will be consumed only for changes generated inside the mounted VM and it will not occupy the entire size of the virtual disk.
  • [ABR-137564] Cross-platform recoveries (when the backup was created not by Agent for Hyper-V) into a new Hyper-V virtual machine by Agent for Hyper-V always produces the Gen 1 version of virtual machine.
  • [ABR-115430] A "backup is missing for X days" alert is activated even if the backup plan is not scheduled, but has this alert option enabled in its settings.
  • [ABR-104081] A VM replication plan may fail due to network disconnects between source and target ESXi hosts even if the "Error handling" option is enabled.
  • [ABR-85645] Backup of a virtual machine with Active Directory may complete with warning "MFT bitmap is corrupted."
  • [ABR-183082] Recovery of a Linux machine having some volumes with the XFS file system completes with the "Failed to process the boot loader configuration." warning. The machine is bootable despite the warning.
  • [ABR-327505] Changed Block Tracking does not work for convert to VM operations on Scale Computing.

Management Portal and Platform Core

  • The read-only role is available for selection while customer tenant is in Cyber Backup - Standard and Cyber Protect - Standard editions, yet it should not be due to licensing limitations.
  • [ABR-136810] An unclear error is shown if a destination tenant was not found while moving a tenant.
  • [ABR-136694] The "Bad request" message appears if a large number is specified for the Storage quota.
  • [ABR-203902] The error message "The number of registered and deleted storage registrations exceeds 50" is shown during storage re-registration.
  • [ABR-203243] Logout is done correctly while a user is logged in via a branded URL; however, logout is not done for a non-branded URL.
  • [ABR-173628] Active Directory Connector - mapping is not saved when one or more Distinguished Names (DNs) are invalid.
  • [ABR-131711] Lack of salutation text in the "Quota exceeded" email notification.
  • [PLTFRM-2340] The "Tenant was moved" audit event description shows tenant IDs instead of names.
  • [PLTFRM-18229] Improve the error message for the RPC GetRedirect method, in case a customer has no storage.
